Emergencies – Urgent Medical Advice

Your safety is always our top priority. While complications from aesthetic treatments are rare, it’s important you know what to do if you ever experience symptoms of a complication.

In the event of any emergency:

  • Call 07301 277555 (Derma Mayfair emergency line)

  • Or call 999

  • Or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency department immediately

If you have recently had a dermal filler, profhilo, or polynucleotide treatment

You must seek urgent medical help if you notice any symptoms of a possible vascular occlusion (blocked blood vessel):

  • Severe or increasing pain at or near the treatment site

  • Pallor (skin becoming unusually pale)

  • Discolouration (skin turning dusky, purple, or grey)

  • Worsening bruising after the first 24–48 hours

  • Mottled skin or net-like pattern on the skin

  • Cold skin to the touch in the treated area

  • Bruising appearing days after treatment

  • Bruising in unusual patterns or away from the injection site

  • Changes in skin sensation (numbness, tingling, or unusual sensitivity)

These symptoms require immediate action — early treatment can prevent long-term complications.

If You Have Recently Had a Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) Treatment

Although extremely rare, symptoms of botulism may include:

  • Difficulty swallowing

  • Difficulty speaking or slurred speech

  • Drooping eyelids or facial weakness

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Muscle weakness in the arms, legs, or body

  • Blurred or double vision

If you experience any of these symptoms, call 999 immediately and inform the medical team you have recently had a botulinum toxin treatment.
